CCM Compassion Ministry

Who is reached?
Not only is preaching an intricate part of Craig Church Ministries, but so is the “compassion” component. It is the desire of CCM to extend compassionate love to those in need. CCM intends to reach out to the less fortunate, hurting children, lonely widows, the homeless who have little hope, prisoners that are held captive, struggling families, teens who need encouragement, addicts that need deliverance and the lost and forgotten who need Jesus.
Why reach?
The Compassion Ministry is based on James 1:27 which says, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widow in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” Matthew 9:36 also reads, “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” In addition, James 1:22 tells us, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving our own selves.”

How do we reach?
This ministry activity involves being God’s hands and feet as CCM takes hope to a hurting world by providing food, clothes and other basic needs in the attempt to serve others and share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our family, ministry team and other volunteers will see that this ministry is carried out. CCM is beginning this Compassion Ministry in its local area by meeting basic needs of those in the surrounding area. As other needs are presented, CCM will branch-out into national and international relief.
Who helps us to reach?
The Compassion Ministry will incorporate approximately five to ten percent of our ministry and will be funded by donations and love offerings from individuals, churches and businesses. A sub-committee will review each need and disperse available funds to purchase food, clothes and other basic needs the committee determines as legitimate.

How can you reach?
By supporting CCM monthly or annually, you will have a part in reaching countless people not only with the Gospel, but also in meeting the basic necessities of life. One person can make a huge difference in the life of a person whose world seems dark and hopeless.
